In recognition of Native American Heritage Month (November), the Associated Students of ������ý at Omak and the Red Road Association are hosting a Zoom panel discussion of the making of the film “The Winter’s Tale,” a Wenatchi tribal documentary on from 4:30-5:30 p.m. November 30.

Prior to the event, participants are required to . Registered participants will receive a link to watch the film on Vimeo in advance of the panel, and will then receive a link to join the Zoom panel discussion. The film will not be shown at the panel discussion. Watch .

Panel members are producer and director Amelia Yokel, Colville tribal oral historian and storyteller Randy Lewis, geologist Nick Zentner, student Josiah Davison and Native flutiest Arnold Cleveland.

“The Winter’s Tale” takes its name from a time-honored practice when, in the deep of winter, a tribal elder would gather the young people around and begin to tell a story. The stories would unfold over not just hours, but over a period of days. The purpose of the film project was to capture the stories to share.
